Lamine Yamal has injured himself scoring a 40th minute penalty for FC Barcelona against Celta Vigo.

The 18-year-old won the spot kick upon being brought down by Sergio Carreira. With Robert Lewandowski one the bench and Raphinha also sidelined, the number 10 stepped up and converted in his usual Neymar-esque style to send Barca nine points clear at the top of the table once more.

While trotting off the celebrate his 16th goal La Liga goal of the season, however, Lamine signalled to the bench for help and threw himself onto the Camp Nou turf.

He eventually got back on his feet and managed to make it to the sideline. Talking to Hansi Flick with his hand over his month Lamine, then headed down the tunnel.

More serious matters halted play in Barcelona Vs. Celta Vigo

As Lamine decided to head for an early bath, a fan fell ill in the lower tier of the lateral stand directly across from the press box where ReadBarcelona watched the action.

We’re still yet to know the severity of Lamine’s knock amid him being replaced by Roony Bardghji. But what’s more important is that the Culer taken sick is able to head home safely.

At the time of publishing, play had been halted for a good 20 minutes. Both teams kicked balls around to stay warm and ran drills, as medical experts attended to the supporter in need.
