Ferran Torres Closes on €50m PSG Move After Telling Flick He Wants Out
Ferran Torres is edging towards the exit at Barcelona, with Paris Saint-Germain closing in on a reported €50 million deal for the Spain forward. According to Barça Blaugranes, citing MARCA, the two clubs are in advanced talks after the 26-year-old gave his green light to a move to the French capital.
Why Ferran Torres wants Paris
Barça Universal, citing Gerard Romero of Jijantes, report that Ferran Torres personally called head coach Hansi Flick to inform him of his desire to leave, having agreed a proposed four-year contract that would run until 2030. The forward, with one year left on his Barça deal and no renewal on the table, is said to be drawn by the chance to reunite with former Blaugrana boss Luis Enrique.
Mundo Deportivo add that PSG have formally contacted Barça to ask about the forward’s availability, though no concrete offer has yet landed. The Catalans’ stance has been consistent: if the player wants to go and says so, they will listen to a fair proposal.
PSG need a striker after selling Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, and Luis Enrique is said to have asked specifically for Ferran. It would be a notable departure only weeks after the forward was celebrated back home in Valencia. A deal is reportedly expected to be finalised next week.
