15:45 — State of play: where every major Barcelona transfer saga stands

Barcelona’s summer business is picking up pace heading into the second half of July. Karim Adeyemi is closing in on a move from Borussia Dortmund for an initial €22m, with a medical pencilled in for Wednesday and a presentation to follow at Camp Nou. Julian Alvarez remains the priority No.9 target, with Joan Laporta warning his offer to Atletico Madrid is “not unlimited” as Arsenal push their own bid.

On the outgoing side, Marcus Rashford’s loan spell has ended after Barca declined to trigger his €30m buy option, sending him back to Manchester United, while Roony Bardghji is attracting more than ten enquiries, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Leeds United among them, as the club considers a temporary exit. Ansu Fati’s permanent move to Monaco has already been finalised.

More as it happens throughout the window, which runs until LaLiga’s deadline on 1 September.

14:10 — Adeyemi medical pencilled in for Wednesday as Barca near fifth signing

Karim Adeyemi is on course to become Barcelona’s next arrival after the club reached full agreement with Borussia Dortmund on a deal worth an initial €22m plus add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Germany winger, who has already stopped training with Dortmund, is set to fly in for a medical on Wednesday ahead of a presentation at Spotify Camp Nou on Thursday, with personal terms on a five-year contract already agreed.

12:30 — Laporta issues Atletico ultimatum over Julian Alvarez pursuit

Joan Laporta has confirmed Barcelona’s offer for Julian Alvarez remains on the table but warned it is “not unlimited in validity”, with the club growing impatient in its chase of the Atletico Madrid striker.

Barca have already seen an approach in the region of €100m knocked back and are preparing to go to around €130m, according to Sport, as Arsenal step up their own pursuit and Atletico continue to resist selling to a domestic rival.

10:45 — Rashford’s Barca stay officially over as buy option lapses

Marcus Rashford’s two-year loan spell at Camp Nou has come to an end after Barcelona chose not to trigger the €30m permanent option in his contract, with the England forward now back at Manchester United.

The club’s transfer department prioritised budget for other positions amid LaLiga’s salary-cap constraints, despite Rashford contributing 14 goals and 14 assists across all competitions last season. Barcelona have not ruled out revisiting a deal on cheaper terms in future.

09:20 — Sunderland lead queue for Bardghji as Barca weigh loan exit

Sunderland have opened talks over a move for winger Roony Bardghji, with Aston Villa and Leeds United also registering interest, according to Barca Blaugranes.

Barcelona have received more than ten enquiries for the 20-year-old this summer and are said to be open to a temporary exit, likely with a buyback or sell-on clause attached, as Deco continues trimming the fringes of Hansi Flick’s squad.
